Skate Night at the Skate Center of Roanoke Valley 4/22/26 5:30 to 8 pm

Come join the fun at the Skate Center of Roanoke Valley.

Bring $5 to Mr. Foutz on April 22nd to buy your ticket in the library to get your pass to enter.

100% of the proceeds will go to Woodrow Wilson.

Congrats to Ms. Williamson earning the Support Staff of the Year for 2026

Congratulations to Ms. Lynn Williamson for receiving the 2026 Support Staff of the Year reward! Ms. Williamson is WWMS's Bookkeeper and Registrar, however she is so much more than that. She is a Jack-of-all-Trades around the office that brings smiles to everyone she sees. 

We at Woodrow are proud of having such an AWESOME staff member!

With the Reading Challenge, learn financial literacy!

Reading Makes Cents empowers K–8 students in Virginia to explore money-smart habits through stories.

This free statewide reading program uses books to teach smart money habits, notably saving for long-term goals like an education.

Read books with themes such as: choices, value, and saving for the future.

Green Valley Bookfair bookmark contest due 10/31/26

Show your artistic side by designing a bookmark for the Green Valley Bookfair Contest.

Entries are due by October, 31st, 2026.

Examples of bookmarks previously made are in front of the library.

RCPS Logo for BLOCK middle school block schedule.

New class schedule coming for middle school in 2026-2027 school year.

All middle schools will be going to a 5 period block schedule instead of a 7 period day. These 75 minute periods will provide more time for instruction, support, and engagement.

Schools closed April 21st for VA special elections

Due to the VA Special Elections on Tuesday, April 21st, the school board has voted to close schools for students due to many schools are polling places.
